Let me bust out my copy of The Art of Robotech: the Shadow Chronicles and share with you some of the canon stats for Tommy's newest ship designs.
SDF-1 Macross
Length: 1,210 meters (3,969.81 feet)
Capacity: 86,000 people
SDF-3 Pioneer (Post-Refit)
Length: 1,240 meters (4,068.24 feet)
Capacity: 120,000 people
SDF-4 Liberator
Length: 1,305 meters (4,281.5 feet)
Capacity: 180,000 people
Colony Fortress "Ark Angel
Length: 2,140 meters (7,020.1 feet)
Capacity: 750,000 people
Those last three should raise some serious eyebrows, since they're packing many times the number of people the SDF-1 carried, plus a substantially larger number of mecha, into a not-much-larger amount of space... and they don't have the benefit of stapling two huge carriers to the outside of the ship to alleviate the space issues... did they subcontract their shipbuilding out to the Time Lords or something? | |
